‘DE-STRESS with Hnry’. A 3-day pop-up activation on the Wellington waterfront that’s guaranteed to write off any pent-up accounting anxiety. The tailor-made experience included check-in and changing rooms, audience seating areas, and two main themed spaces—THRILL and CHILL.
The THRILL container, which features two self-contained ‘Rage Cages’, is where the smashing happens. Equipped with Hnry-braded overalls, PPE, and a baseball bat, guests are set loose on crockery and old electronics, while the audience and an MC cheer on the destruction. All the smashables have been sourced from landfills across the Greater Wellington region.
With their tax time stresses written off, guests enter the CHILL container where they can relax into a bathtub of pink stress balls, designed with Instagram in mind. A calming beverage and a rotating roster of mellow house DJs compliment the relaxed vibes.
‘DE-STRESSED with Hnry’ has been a raging success, with over 200 stressed-out Wellingtonians re-discovering their chill across the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday sessions. Some booked online, others cued for a spot, and many more opted just to watch—either at the event or via a stream of shareable social videos, online.
